Mom's Favorite Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Butter, softened
  • 2 Cups of Sugar
  • 2 Cups of VERY ripe bananas (about 4 bananas) mashed.
  • 4 Eggs, Room Temperature and Well Beaten
  • 2 Tsp of Baking Soda
  • 2 1/4 Cups of Flour
  • Optional ingredients for Bread is Walnuts.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees. Grease two 9" X 5" X 3" loaf pans

In a large bowl, cream Butter and Sugar. Add mashed Banana and Eggs. Combine baking Soda and Flour and add to Banana mixture. Mix just enough to moisten Flour. Pour Batter into load pans and bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Run a Knife around edges of pans and turn out banana bread immediately after cooking. Cool Bread on wire rack.
