Ingredients
- 1 lb cranberry beans, soaked in water for a couple of hours
- 2 lbs sauerkraut in jar, rinsed
- 1 tb oil
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 heaping tbs flour
- paprika
- garlic
- sausage
Preparation
Step 1
Boil bean for 1-1 1/2 hours. Skim foam from top. Once they are firm, they are ready.
Add sauerkraut to bean mixture.
Make zafic: In a small frying pan, mix oil, onion, flour, paprika and garlic - all into a lump. Add a couple of ladles of the bean liquid to frying pan - mix until lump is incorporated. Once this is done, add the frying pan mixture to the soup pot and boil 5-10 minutes.
Add sausage at the end -
