Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c lentils
  • 1 1/2 c rice
  • 3 onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Preparation

Step 1

1) Brown lentils in 2 T oil for 5 min.

2) Add 3 c boiling water and black pepper. Cook uncovered 10 min over medium heat.

3) Add rice and 1 c boiling water and reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 25 min.

4) Brown onions and garlic and serve over lentils and rice.
