EZ Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 5 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Pour boiling water over sugar, salt, and shortening. Stir until shortening is melted. Cool mixture. Add yeast, which has been dissolved in lukewarm water. Add egg. Mix well. Stir in flour. Grease a bowl. Place dough in the bowl; let rise till double in size. Punch down and roll out into rolls. Let rise again. Bake at 425° for 15 mins
