Ingredients
- 2 Lbs. top sirloin steak or beef chuck roast
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 4 oz. Butter
- 4 green onions, white tops only, sliced
- 4 T flour
- 1-10 oz. Can beef broth
- 1 t mustard
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1-6 oz. Can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/3 c sour cream
- 1/3 c white wine
Preparation
Step 1
Remove fat from meat and cut it into 2” long by 1/2 “ thick strips. Season with salt and pepper. Melt butter over medium-high heat quickly and push to the side of the pan. Put in onions and let cook for about 3-5 minutes and push to the side with the meat. Stir in flour, add broth, stirring constantly, bring to a boil. Lower heat, stir in mustard, cover and simmer for 1-2 hours. Five minutes before serving, stir in sour cream, mushrooms and wine. Serve with noodles or rice.
