Marinaded flank steak with horseradish sauce

This steak is so tasty with an apple marinade and a mild horseradish sauce. Great for sandwiches

Ingredients
- Marinade
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/4 c cider vinegar
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons each Worcestershire sauce
- Dijon mustard and honey
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 pound flank steak trimmed and lightly scored
- Sauce
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Preparation
Step 1
For the marinade whisk together apple juice, vinegar, oil, garlic, Worchestershire, Dijon mustard, honey, rosemary, salt, and pepper and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add rimmed and scored flank steak to bag and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight, Remove bag from refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling. Remove meat from marinade.
Step 2
Preheat grill and oil grate. Season steak with salt and pepper then grill. Medium rare 4-6 minutes per side. Place on cutting board and let rest 5 minutes. Thinly slice the steak against the grain.
Step 3
For the sauce whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, horseradish and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Serve steak with horseradish sauce on the side. Can use in sandwiches or just plain.
Make sure to score the steak so the marinade can soak in.
