Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/4 cups cornflakes, crushed
- 4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons drinking chocolate
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 315 degrees. Brush an oven tray with melted butter. Line with baking paper grease paper.
Step 2
Using electric beaters, beat egg whites in a small bowl until stiff peaks form. Add sugar gradually and beat until sugar has dissolved and mixture is thick and glossy.
Step 3
Using a metal spoon, fold the cornflakes and chocolate gently into the egg white mixture and stir until well combined.
Step 4
Spoon two heaped teaspoons of the meringue mixture on prepared baking tray. Bake 25-30 minutes or until dry and firm to touch.Dust meringues with sifted drinking chocolate while still hot. Transfer to a wire rack when almost cool.
