Rice Pudding - Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pudding rice (short grain rice)
  • 1-½ cups of single cream
  • 1-½ cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons of white sugar
  • teaspoon of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Wash rice with a sieve until the water runs clear.
Place rice in a pot.
Turn stove on to medium heat.
Pour milk, cream, vanilla extract, sugar, and salt into the pot.
Keep on low heat for 40 to 43 minutes with the lid on, stirring every 10 minutes.
The rice pudding is ready to serve when it is thick and creamy and the rice is no longer hard. Serve hot or cold with a tablespoon of single cream
