Hamburger, Potato & Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 Tbsp oil (olive or vegetable)
  • 14.5oz can green beans with juice (or steamed fresh beans)
  • 3 Russet Potatoes (peeled &
  • sliced thin)
  • 1 Small White Onion (sliced
  • thin)
  • Addition - I also sauteed in
  • butter a carton of shiitake
  • mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom
  • soup or make double batch

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet, break up and brown ground beef in oil until no longer pink. Set aside. Saute the onions in butter and then add in the mushrooms. Make up and mix the Bertinelli white sauce right in with the onions and mushrooms.

Step 2

In a large bowl combine green beans, cream soup or above white sauce and meat. Mix well. Grease bottom and sides of 9x9 casserole dish.

Step 3

Place sliced potatoes in bottom of greased dish, add layer of onions if desired. Cover with meat/bean/soup mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 45 to 60 minutes or until potatoes are done and dish is hot and bubbly throughout.
