Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 (46 oz) bottle of tomato juice
- 1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups canned red beans _ rinsed and drained
Preparation
Step 1
Brown ground beef. Cook over medium heat until evenly browned. Drain, crumble and set aside.
Step 2
Add all ingredients to a large pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
