Ingredients
- 1 pound sprouts
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional
- 1 medium red onion diced
- 6 slices bacon cut into 1/2
- inch pieces
- Pine nuts
Preparation
Step 1
Rinse and thoroughly dry the brussel sprouts. Trim the bottom of the core. Remove any brown or yellowed leaves. Halve the sprouts lengthwise.
Step 2
Toss the sprouts with the olive oil, then add the garlic powder, cayenne pepper and sea salt. Add the onion and bacon.
Step 3
Spread mixture in an even layer on a greased baking sheet. Roast in the oven at 400 for 40 minutes, tossing halfway through cooking. Top with pine nuts and serve warm.
