Ingredients
- 1 c unsalted butter
- 3/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 T pumpkin pie spice
- 1 c root beer or stout beer
- 1/2 c sour cream or plain yogurt
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 c flour
- 1 3/4 c sugar
- 1 1/2 t baking powder
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 13x9 baking pan. In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium. Whisk in cocoa powder and pie spice. Add root beer. Whisk in sour cream, eggs, vanilla.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and 3/4 t salt. Make a well in the center and stir in root beer mixture until just combined. Spread evenly into pan.
Step 3
Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan or on rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
