Ingredients
- 1 cup raw rice, cook as directed , rice can be undercooked (Uncle Bens)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 can diced tomatoes (2 1/2 c.)
- 3 tbsp chopped green pepper
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 small bay leaves
- 1 tsp sugar
Preparation
Step 1
In large fry pan, melt butter, cook onions till transparent. Add salt and rest of ingredients EXCEPT RICE.Simmer uncovered 15 minutes.
Step 2
Remove bay leaves and closed. Add rice and mix well (it will seem sloppy but will be ok).
Step 3
Place in greased casserole dish, bake uncovered, 375 degrees for 30-45 min.
