Ingredients
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter
- 1/4 C all purpose flour
- 1&3/4 C low sodium turkey or chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large stainless skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter, about 30 seconds. Whisk in four and cook, whisking, until mixture darkens, about 2 minutes.
2. Slowly stream in stock and, whisking constantly to prevent lumps, cook to desired consistency, 4-5 minutes.
3. Whisk in salt and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
