Ingredients

  • CHOCOLATE FONDUE:
  • 1 cup bite-size peeled pineapple chunks (250 mL)
  • 1 navel orange, peeled and cut into segments
  • 2 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
  • 1 red delicious apple, cored and sliced
  • 6 cookies (optional)
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream (75 mL)
  • 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped (90 g)
  • 2 ounces milk chocolate, chopped (60 g)
  • 1 tablespoons amaretto, brandy or rum (15 mL)
  • Optional garnish:
  • Cape gooseberries or sliced bananas

Preparation

Step 1

Chocolate Fondue:

In saucepan, heat cream until boiling. Pour over bittersweet and milk chocolates in fondue pot; whisk until melted. Whisk in amaretto. Keep warm.

Meanwhile, arrange pineapple, orange, kiwifruit, apple, and cookies (if using) on platter.

Garnish: Garnish with gooseberries (if using). Serve with fondue.

Note:

For best flavor and texture, use quality chocolate.
