Chicken, Teriyaki the best

Ingredients

  • 4-6 chicken pieces (skinned thighs and legs are best) I liked breasts as well.
  • 1 cup kikoman soy sauce (lightly salted)
  • 1 1/2 -2 cups dark brown sugar( to taste) I used 1 1/2 cups
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Peel and mince garlic

3. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and ginger until sugar has dissolved. Put chicken in 9 x 13 pan and pour teriyaki sauce over it. Cover lightly with foil and bake for at least one hour or until chicken is cooked through. She baked for about 2 1/2 hours until the chicken is falling off the bone! Also double the sauce for extra on rice.

4. This is even better if you marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours in the sauce before cooking-expecially before grilling.

5. If cooking in an electric roaster, make sure you have enough sauce to cover chicken. Bake covered at 325 degrees F. for about 4 hours.

We grilled the chicken and it was so good!!!!
