Basil Oil

Drizzle on salads, fish or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cups extra virgin olive oil, chilled for 2 hours
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Preparation

Step 1

Place all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until nearly smooth and uniformly green. Strain through a fine sieve. Refrigerate in a sealed container for up to one week.
