Ingredients

  • 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
  • 3/4 cup cooked turkey, chopped
  • 1/4 cup canned sliced mushrooms, drained well
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg, freshly-grated
  • 1 pinch salt

Step 1

Arrange turkey in a baked pie shell. Top with mushrooms, cheese, and onions.

In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour into pie shell.

Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.

Serve with a tossed salad and buttermilk biscuits, if desired.
