Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 (4 lb) beef rib roast
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, cubed
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
1. Combine the first four ingredients; rub over roast.
2. Place roast, fat side up, in a roasting pan. Dot with butter.
3. Bake uncovered for 1 3/4 to 3 hours or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare - 145 degrees F; medium - 160 degrees F; well-done - 170 degrees F) Let stand for 10-15 minutes before carving.
4. Thicken pan drippings for gravy if desired.
