Snappy Smothered Chicken

I made this dish last night, and served it with green beans. My husband LOVED it! He said it was better than chicken marsala!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. thin chicken cutlets
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 t. dried thyme
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 3 T. butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 t. minced garlic
  • 1 can cream of onion soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 2 T. chopped parsley

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Cook chicken till almost done. (I had my husband grill mine.)
2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and mushrooms. Saute 8-10 minutes. Add paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook 1-2 minutes. Add soup, milk and wine. Bring to a boil. Add chicken. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 10-15 minutes. Stir in parsley. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
