  • 10 strips bacon
  • 10 –15 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 slices Italian panella bread, sliced 1/4″ thick

Preparation

Step 1

Cook bacon on panini press until crisp. Remove and set aside.

Place the shrimp in a bowl with the olive oil and the garlic and mix to coat evenly. Empty contents of bowl on a preheated panini press, close lid, and cook for 3–5 minutes. Remove from grill and set aside.

Arrange the shrimp and the bacon between 2 slices of bread and place on panini grill. Close lid and cook for an additional 2–4 minutes or until the bread is crispy.

Remove from press and place on a cutting board. Use a pizza cutter to cut each panini into four bite-sized pieces. Serve warm.
