Lasagna (Risha Hargrave)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound hamburger
  • 1/2 pound sausage
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/4 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg chopped frozen spinach, drained
  • 1 can Hunts Basil and Garlic Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 can Hunts Four Cheese Spaghetti Sauce
  • 2 pkgs mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese
  • 1 box lasagna noodles

Preparation

Step 1

For the meat sauce:
Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large pan with the green pepper and chopped onion and season well, drain, and add sauces.

Boil the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Add a little bit of olive oil to the water to prevent sticking. Drain.

To assemble the lasagna in a 9x13 pan layer the following:
lasagna noodles
1/2 meat sauce
1/2 ricotta and spinach mixture
1/2 mozzarella cheese
lasagna noodles
1/2 meat sauce
1/2 ricotta and spinach mixture
1/2 mozzarella cheese



Bake at 350 degrees for one hour until brown and bubbly.

Cool slightly before attempting to cut into squares.
