Rocky Road Bars

In that stack of cookbooks were these bars. Whew..these were good. Really, good. They are definitely something that won't be stocked in my fridge on a regular basis, but, a very nice treat for us.

They are filled will chocolate, marshmallow and topped off with some M&M's just for fun. Oh..it's got chocolate syrup drizzled on top. Yep. Dangerously good.

Ingredients

• 1 box- chocolate cake mix
• 1/2 cup melted butter
• 1/3 cup water
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup chopped walnuts
• 4 cups mini marshmallows
• 3/4 cup M & M candies
• 1/3 cup chocolate syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter, water brown sugar and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Stir in walnuts
Spread batter in prepared pan.
Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the top with marshmallows and return to oven. Bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed up and golden.
When baking time is done, remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with M&M's.
Let it cool for approx 5-8 minutes. Drizzle top with chocolate syrup.
Cool completely before serving.
