Rainbow Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 package (4 serving size) Jello, any flavor
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 package (12 ounces) pound cake, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • Thawed whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve gelatin completely in boiling water in small bowl. Stir in cold water. Pour into 9-inch square pan. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm. Cut gelatin and cake slices into circles, squares and/or rectangles.

Spread whipped topping on cake slices. Place gelatin shapes on 1/2 of the cake slices. Top with remaining cake slices, whipped topping side down.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
