Crab Meat Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 celery stalks, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cans cream style corn
  • 2 cans cream of potato soup
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half cream
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh crab meat

Preparation

Step 1

In kettle, saute celery, onions and green pepper in butter. Add next eight ingredients and mix well. Stir in crab meat and heat through. Discard bay leaves.
