SANGRIA LIGHT AND FRUITY

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries, unhulled
  • 7 cups light Chianti wine
  • 1/2 lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 orange, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 bottle white grape juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Mint sprigs

Preparation

Step 1

Day before serving. In each compartment of two ice cube trays, place one strawberry, hull side up. Pour in enough wine to fill each compartment freeze.

At serving time, in chilled pitcher, mix remaining wine with rest of ingredients except mint. Add frozen wine cubes, garnish with mint. Makes 12 servings.
