SHREDDED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH MAPLE PECANS

  • 3/4 3/4 3/4 cup pecans
  • 4 4 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 1 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 2 2 pounds brussels sprouts, cut into thin slices
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 1 1 tablespoon cider vinegar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Arrange the nuts on a small baking sheet with a rim. Roast until fragrant, about 10 minutes.

Remove nuts from oven. Add 1 tablespoon butter, syrup and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Toss to coat.

Melt remaining butter in a heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sprouts, remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Saute until sprouts are just crisp-tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Add vinegar and stir 1 minute. Stir in pecans and any remaining glaze.
