Sweet bread with poppy seeds and almonds

  • 3 3/4 cups of plain flour
  • 30 grs. yeast
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup of warm milk (240 ml)
  • 1 lemon peel grated
  • 1 teaspoon of vainilla
  • 1/2 cup granulate sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Filling
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 150 grs. poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup of peel and chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup og granulate sugar
  • 1 white egg beaten
  • Glass
  • 1/2 cup of caster sugar
  • 1 lemon the juice

Preparation

Step 1

Ingredients dough

30 grs. yeast
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup of warm milk (240 ml)

1/2 cup granulate sugar

Filling
1 tablespoon of butter
150 grs. poppy seeds
1/2 cup of peel and chopped almonds
1/2 cup og granulate sugar
1 white egg beaten

Glass
1/2 cup of caster sugar
1 lemon the juice










Method

Dough
In a bowl put the flour, add the yeast powder,lemon peel, warm milk,vanilla,sugarMix well with your fingers join well..

Add melted butter and the egg and mix well until you have a smooth dough.



Wrap with a plastic film and set aside in a warm place by 30 minutes.Until doubled its original size.

Make the filling

In a frying pan heat the butter and add the poppy seeds and chopped almonds, stir and cook until are toasted.Add the granulate sugar, stir, cut the fire and let chill.
Add the white egg and mix well.

Preheat the oven medium heat (about 180°) .
Put the dough onto a floured surface and knead by a while . Roll making a 30 x 40 cm. rectangle. Let borders about 3 cm. to double..And then fill with the poppy seeds mix and roll carefully .
Place in a oven tray roll dough and set aside in a warm place about 15 minutes. .
Then baked by 30 minutes or until the bread is golden.
Cool to room temperature..

Glass
Mix the lemon juice and the caster sugar and empty over the bread and let dry by two hours normal temperature.
