Coffee Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter (2 sticks or 226g) room temperature
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 lb bag (roughly 8 cups, can lessen to 6) confectioners\' sugar
  • 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c strong brewed coffee, or more to taste
  • Pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1



Beat butter and cream cheese together in a bowl with an electric hand mixer until creamy.
Slowly add in confectioners' sugar, cocoa powder, coffee, and salt until smooth and spreadable.
