Grandma's White Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Cup buttermilk
  • 1 Cup shortening
  • 2 Cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon extract

Preparation

Step 1

1. Blend together the flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Add buttermilk, shortening, sugar and eggs and beat until thoroughly mixed. Add vanilla and lemon extracts. Mix well.

2. Pour into greased bundt pan and bake at 350°F for one hour and ten minutes.
