  • 2 Cups(4sticks) softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt



Step 1

Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture; mix well. Divide dough in fourths. Roll out 1/4 of dough at a time on lightly floured surface. Keep remaining dough refrigerated. Cut into desired shapes with floured cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 6 - 8 min.
