Macaroni & Cheese
- 1 cup uncooked macaroni
- 1 quarter cup butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp chopped onion
- 1 quarter cup flour
- 1 half teaspoon salt
- 1 quarter teaspoon dry mustard
- Few grains pepper
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup buttered bread crumbs
cook macaroni in boiling salted water
Soften chopped onion with butter in fry pan
Add flour, salt dry mustard and pepper, blend well, then gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add cheese and stir until melted.
Stir until melted cheese add macaron and blend well.
Put in casserole and sprinkle bread crumbs over top.
Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
