Chocolate Buttercream Icing

Ingredients

• 1 cup Crisco shortening
• 1 teaspoon clear (Vanilla, Almond or Butter) flavoring
• 8-9 teaspoons Milk or Water
• 3/4 cup Cocoa
• 1 lb. Confectioners' Sugar
• 1 Tablespoon Meringue Powder
• pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream Crisco, flavoring and water or milk. Add dry ingredients and mix on medium speed until all ingredients have been thoroughly mixed together. Blend an additional minute or so until creamy.
