Ingredients

  • 6-8

    cube steaks

  • 1

    pkg each brown gravy mix, onion gravy mix and mushroom gravy mix

  • 1-1/2

    c. Water

  • 1/2

    on onion cut in slices and left in rings

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Pepper to taste

Directions

Place steaks in slow cooker. Scatter onion rings over the top. Pour all gravy mixes into a sauce pan. Add cold water and stir until all lumps are gone. Heat until thickened. Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Pour over steaks and onions in slow cooker. Cook on high 4 hours or low-medium for 6-8 hours. Serve over noodles, rice or mashed potatoes. *Suggestions: omit onions and add sliced mushrooms to make Salsbury steak, or prepare original recipe and right before serving, stir in 1/4 c. Sour cream for stroganoff.
