Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 cups flour
Preparation
Step 1
Place peanut butter and butter in a mixing bowl. Cream about 1 minute, or until the mixture is smooth. Stop and scrape bowl. Add sugars, egg, and vanilla and beat at medium speed for 1 minute.
Lower mixer speed and gradually add remaining ingredients, and beat until just combined.
Roll dough to 1 inch balls, and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Press flat with fork in a criss-cross pattern to 1/4 inch thickness.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden brown.
