Ginger Snaps

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C shortening
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 1/4 C molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 C flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses, and egg. Add dry ingredients. Form into small balls, roll in granulated sugar. Bake 2" apart at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.
