- 1 cup brown rice
- 2 cups water
1.Combine rice and water in medium saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to maintain a gentle boil; cook, covered, for 50 minutes. Keep covered the entire time (without lifting lid even to peek) or rice will not cook evenly.
2.Remove pan from heat and let rice sit, covered (still no lifting lid at all—this is very important!), for 10 minutes.
3.Fluff with a fork; serve.
