Slow Cooker BBQ Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4-1/2 pounds beef brisket, trimmed of fat
  • 3/4 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2-1/4 cups barbeque sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1.Combine thyme, paprika, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, and cumin in a small bowl; set aside. Rub brisket all over with liquid smoke, then rub with spice mixture.
2.Pour Worcestershire and barbeque sauces into a slow cooker; place beef on top. Cover, and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours, until fork tender.
