Secret Ingredient Four Cheese Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 1/4 cups hot water
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper® four cheese lasagna
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) sliced carrots, drained
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired

Preparation

Step 1

1 In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until brown; drain.

2 Stir in hot water, milk, sauce mix and uncooked pasta. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat; uncover.

3 In food processor, place carrots. Cover; process until smooth. Stir processed carrots into pasta mixture. Sprinkle with parsley.

Try adding 1 cup canned pumpkin puree or pureed sweet potatoes in place of the carrots.
