Churama Laddu

Churma laddu is a delicious sweet made of wheat flour, desi ghee(clarified butter), beautifully flavoured with cardamom & saffron.

Ingredients
- 200 gms wheat flour
- 400 gms ghee (clarified butter)
- 200 gms powdered sugar
- 8-10 almond finely chopped
- 8-10 pistachio finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Water as required
Preparation
Step 1
1. Melt 150 gms of ghee & mix it in wheat flour. Make a stiff dough using
very little water.
2. Heat rest of the ghee in a kadahi. Make about 15-20 balls with dough.
3. Fry it on low flame till it becomes golden brown.
4. Grind the balls in a food processor to get a fine powder (churma).
5. Now take this powder in a large dish. Add cardamom powder, almond,
pistachio to the mixture.
6. Warm ghee to make it liquid & slowly add it to the powder (churma)
7. Keep mixing it evenly with the flour powder by rubbing the mixture
between your hands.Make sure ghee temperature is manageable & you
do not scald your fingers & palms.
8. Keep adding ghee, then add powdered sugar to it & mix evenly.
9. Once you feel mixture is reasonably soft, grease your hands, take a
small portion & roll it into a medium-sized ball or laddu. Choose a
size you are comfortable with.
10. Arrange the laddu in a serving plate.
11. Churma Laddus are ready to offer to Lord Ganesh.
