Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 apples, pared and sliced
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix apples, cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.
Grease and flour a tube pan. Layer one-third of cake batter then top with one-third of apple mixture. Repeat layers two more times ending with apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
