Yummy Pork Chops and Spanish Rice topped with cheese

Ingredients

  • 6 loin chops 1/2 in thick
  • 2 Tbs vegetable oil
  • Seasoned salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup long grained rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 envelope taco seasoning mix (2 Tbs)
  • 1 med green pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown chops in oil in large skillet. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and Pepper. Meanwhile in 13x9x2 baking dish, combine rice, water, tomato sauce and taco seasoning; mix well. Arrange chops over rice, top with green peppers. Cover and bake @ 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until chops are browned and juice is clear. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese & bake until cheese is melted.
