- 2 Deep Dish pie crusts
- Apples - peeled, cored and sliced (12-15)
- 1 Cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1/2 stick butter
- Cinnamon - to taste
- 1/2 Tbs vanilla flavoring
- Fresh Fruit (to keep apples from turning brown)
Remove pie crusts from freezeer - set aside one- turn upside down on wax paper - when soft, press soft.
Add a capful of Fresh Fruit in a bowl of water. Peel, core and slice apples. Place in water. Microwave on high power about 15 minutes. Taste to check if sweet enough. If not, add more sugar. Stir in vanilla flavoring and pour into bottom pie shell. I dot a little more butter over apples before adding top crust. Put top crust on pie and crimp edges. Make a few slits in crust. Spread top of crust with thin layer of soft butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place in preheated 375 degree oven for 45 minutes of until top is brown.
To freeze apples: Prepara a bowl of Fresh Fruit and water. Peel, core and slice apples. Put in water. Treansfer apples to micro bowwwwwl. Cover with a cup of sugar. Cook about 15 minutes. Let cool put in plastic bags and put in freezer.
Take out of freezer, thaw, and use above recipe for apple pie.
For Apple Cobbler prepare apple recipe. Pour in baking dish.
Mix 1 cup Bisquick and Milk to pouring consistency. Pour over top of apples and bake in oven until top turns brown.
