Caramels

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter. Add milk. Stir in sugar. Bring to boil. Add corn syrup. Cook over medium heat to firm ball stage. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Beat until thick. Pour onto buttered surface. Cut into squares.
