Fig Balsamic Chicken

  • To put in Bag:
  • 2 lb chicken breasts or thighs
  • one onion
  • two cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic fig jam
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 cup dried figs
  • (if you don't have balsamic fig jam, add 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar)
  • 14.5 can diced tomatoes



Step 1

Brown the chicken, onion, and garlic in olive oil until softened, then add them and all other ingredients in bag. Then freeze.

To Cook:
Defrost in fridge. Add contents of bag and tomatoes to crockpot. Cook on high for 4-6 or Low for 6-8hr. Serve over rice or potatoes
