Panko Crusted Salmon with Basil Sauce

  • lb salmon fillet (1 inch thick)

  • tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 1/2
  • cup Progresso® Italian style panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 1/4
  • cup shredded Italian cheese blend (2 oz)
  • 1 1
  • can (18 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy Parmesan basil cooking sauce, heated

Step 1



1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray shallow baking pan with cooking spray. Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Place salmon, skin side down, in pan. Brush with 1 tablespoon of the melted butter.
2 In small bowl, mix bread crumbs, cheese and remaining melted butter. Lightly press bread crumb mixture evenly on salmon.
3 Bake uncovered 15 to 25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with fork. Serve heated cooking sauce over fish. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.
