  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or adjust to suit taste)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cup low-fat buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup low-fat sour cream (or full-fat)
  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla
