- yogurt and milk

Step 1
1 T freshly squeezed lemon juice and as much whole milk as the recipe calls for. set aside for 5 minutes.
or
whisk together 3 parts plain yogurt and 1 part milk for the desired amount of buttermilk (ie for 1 cup buttermilk do 1/4 cup milk and 3/4 yogurt)
