Ingredients

  • 10 pounds of beets
  • 3 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook the beets in water with the skins on.
2. Cool the beets and peel and slice . ( I like to cut each slice into quarters )
3. Boil together the vinegar , water and sugar.
4. Put the sliced beets into mason jars and fill to the top with the vinegar mixture. Cool and place on lids.
