Ingredients
- 1 lb of combined beef, veal, and pork
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, mix beef, veal, and pork with eggs. Then add bread crumbs, cheese and salt. Finally add garlic in stages. Add a little garlic, then mix.
Add some more, then mix some more. This way all the garlic does not end up in one meatball. Now it is time to roll up the balls roughly 2" in diameter.
The real key to tasty balls is baking them in the oven. Heat oven to 375, put balls on a rack, then a cookie sheet. You want to keep the balls out of the juice. Bake for 12 minutes then turn balls over and bake another 12 minutes.
Balls can be fried, but baking is prefered.
You can freeze remaining balls for future use. Just thaw balls and add to favorite sauce to heat.
